How to Burn 3D Movie Discs
Whether you're simply thinking about purchasing a 3-D home entertainment setup, or already have, you are likely aware that the pool of available 3-D content is still shallow. However, with a few tips, and the right software, you can easily produce your own 3-D content. Burning 3-D movies at home is a fairly simple process, but will vary depending on whether you're converting 2D content to 3-D, or simply burning 3-D files. Before you begin, you'll need a few things.
Required Equipment and Software
Burning a 3D Disc
If the video you wish to burn is already in 3-D format, skip to step four.
1. Install Video Converter Ultimate, or any BD-R software of your choice.
2. Insert the disc of the movie you'd like to convert to 3-D and rip to your hard drive. If you opt to not use Video Converter Ultimate you will need to download and install software which can rip DVDs or Blu-Ray discs, depending on your needs. Blue Cloner is a good option for Blu-Ray discs, and VLC Media Player can handle DVD or any other formats on a storage disc.
3. Import the movie file to be converted to 3-D into the converter software of your choice. This will be the lengthiest portion of the process, and can take upwards of two hours with some products.
4. Insert a blank BD-R and boot up your chosen 3-D movie burning software. Select the 3-D movie file and direct the software to burn a disc using your Blu-Ray Burner drive and click start.
5. Insert your newly minted BD-R 3-D movie into your player and enjoy!
